WHERE: Künstlerhaus Boswil, Aargau, Switzerland

WHEN: 2 sessions: 2 - 7 September 2017 AND 22 - 27 January 2018
It is possible for students to arrive on Saturday, September 1 and to depart Friday, September 8. The price remains the same.

WHAT: Masterclass Composing participants will have the opportunity to work with the software 
              POLYTEMPO NETWORK 
     and write for the Ensemble Boswil for contemporary music

FOR: MA Students and composers in the period after finishing university.

IMPORTANT: Between the first and second phase, each participant will compose a piece of up to 10 minutes, which will be performed at the end of the second phase.


Participation fee:
CHF 650.- 
including: teaching, material, accommodation (double room), full board, Feldenkrais Registration fee: Applicants who are admitted must pay a non-refundable registration fee of CHF 200.- after their acceptance.

Masterclass 2017/18 in cooperation with:
ZHDK Zürcher Hochschule der Künste


In cooperation with one of the Swiss conservatories, this edition will feature a collaboration with the ZHKD Zurich University of the Arts, Künstlerhaus Boswil (KHB) offers a Masterclass held in two phases during one academic year.
The participants are given the opportunity for close cooperation with the instrumentalists of the Ensemble Boswil für Neue Musik (Ensemble Boswil for Contemporary Music, EBos) and artists and teachers of international repute.
The course will focus on an intensive examination of the subject of the Masterclass by means of workshops, seminars, evening talks and individual lessons. The Ensemble is musically led by a conductor well-versed in contemporary classical music.
For the second phase, each participant will compose a piece, which will be performed in public by the EBos.

Teaching Languages: German and English

Closing date for applications: 1. May 2017
A committee composed of members of the ZHDK and the Künstlerhaus Boswil will choose the participants in the Masterclass. The selected applicants will soon be informed about their participation.
